Cirque Wear By Shelley is a costume shop based in Surrey UK. My name is Shelley, the owner, creator, designer and sole member of staff here at Cirque Wear.
I am professional circus artist and have been working in the performing industry since graduating from University in 2011. I have been lucky enough to travel the world as a dancer, aerialist, fire performer and more. Working at many different venues and events including; cruise ships, circus, corporate events, exclusive resorts, international tours, uk tours, theatre, dinner shows, hotels abroad, stadiums, nightclubs, theme parks, film and television.
When the pandemic hit in 2020 the performing industry was shut down completely. I had all this time on my hands and nothing to fill it. So I bought a sewing machine to try to continue doing something creative and learn a new skill along the way.
I started making stilt covers and stilt trousers for fun, and then went on to open a shop on Etsy under the name ‘Stilt Covers by Shelley’
As the pandemic continued I went on to make face masks, to meet this huge new demand, and bring back some sort of income. I then started to experiment with making costumes and the shop has slowly become what you see here today, rebranding with a new name. Cirque Wear by Shelley.
I’ve always dreamed of being able to make my own costumes for performing, and it brings me so much joy to be able to share this with you all too. My costumes are now sparkling on stages all over the world!
As a working performer myself I have tried and tested each and every design style in my shop to make sure it meets our needs as performers functionally and aesthetically. Now I run this business full time alongside performing, now the industry is back with a bang!
Contact me if you have any questions! It’s best to check anything you aren’t sure of BEFORE placing an order. You can also request custom orders and add an extras that aren’t already included. The shop is open for a limited amount of orders per month from the first of each month, on a first come first serve basis. When the order limit has been reached, items will show as out of stock and the shop will be unable to process further orders until the restock on the first of the month.
Please also take note of my shop policies, buyers are responsible for any customs charges and I cannot be held responsible for any postage or customs delays.
Everything in my shop is handmade from scratch by myself. I do not make mens or children’s costumes.

IMPORTANT – Due to recent changes in shipping laws I can no longer ship to Germany. I am hoping I may be able to in the future, however for now any orders placed from Germany will unfortunately need to be cancelled as I cannot ship them.
